we were talking about this at dinner last night and one of my campanions remarked that she had seen a news report detailing this article and one of the editors was being quizzed about liability and he said, "Sue. We will win." they believe they have an unimpeachable source and the story was vetted by lawyers before they went to press.

enquirer is owned by american media aka david pecker. he is not a right wing ideologue like rupert murdoch, he is just an old fashioned rich guy (he was the best bud of my old boss when i worked for the head of global m&a at jp morgan) and the rich are very po'd about dubyas katrina recovery plan --like it's the second coming of fdr and the new deal -- and they want him out, NOW.
