She's not on vacation; she's on vocal rest. From what I know, she's been out so far this week, too.

She's been out a few weeks now, and as far as I know she's been out all of this week. I wouldn't count on her being in on Sunday (however, Jessica Lea Patty is fabulous as Diana).

Apparently Jessica is covering Cassie on Sundays now, so she won't be on as Diana.

Zeitoujo, are you kidding? Jessica's Diana is fantastic! I still think Natalie is better, but Jessica is millions times better than Michelle A. as Diana. It's true though that Jessica Lea Patty is doing Cassie on Sundays, so she won't be on as Diana. However, in the rare case that the girl who plays Maggie is ever out on a Sunday while Natalie is still gone, my guess is Michelle would play Maggie, Jessica would cover Diana, and Nadine or Lorin will do Cassie. I am still dying to see Lorin as Cassie. As it is though, you will probably see Michelle as Diana this Sunday. Brace yourself for a terrible performance.

Great news! Natalie is - or was - the strongest female performer in the show. In my opinion, of course.

Can't wait to see the new-ish cast and the old cast again.

I guess I should clarify ghostlight. Michelle can sing perfectly well and she can act. But she is NOT AT ALL believable as a Puerto Rican Bronx girl. I am sure she is much better as Maggie or Bebe or any other part really. But as Diana, I just don't buy it. A latin lady she ain't.

Thanks for the clarification, bjh. You can see how I might have misread:

"Brace yourself for a terrible performance"

as saying that MA wasn't very good as opposed to racially unsuited for the role. I'm a little puzzled that you find JLP more believable as a Puerto Rican. A latin lady she most definitely ain't (though I think she's wonderful in the role).

JLP does a MUCH more convincing Bronx Puerto Rican accent than MA. That's just one little thing. Her mannerisms in general are more believable to me.
