THE PRODUCERS, THE ADDAMS FAMILY and as the voice of "Timon" in THE LION KING movies.
But I LOVE him and love everything he does

Ha, you love it so much that you forgot its existence.
For me, Hank Azaria stole that movie.

Posted: 6/18/12 at 7:17pmYeah, it wasn't the strongest piece, but it had a great cast. It was my first time seeing Nathan perform live, and that was the main reason I went.

Posted: 6/19/12 at 8:38amI thoroughly enjoyed Nathan Lane in GUYS AND DOLLS, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, and as the lead in the ENCORES version of Jule Styne's DO RE MI. I also enjoyed him in THE BIRDCAGE. Nathan Lane is one of a kind, a treasure really.

Did you see him in Frogs?
The night I went he was injured right before intermission.
I still believe that he just succumbed to embarrassment at how bad the show was.

November was the first show I saw on Broadway. I went primarily to see Nathan and wasn't disappointed. Laurie Metcalf was also great, though.

I enjoyed NOVEMBER

Posted: 6/19/12 at 7:12pmI saw him in one of his first Broadway roles in the early 1980s in a revival of PRESENT LAUGHTER at the Circle in the Square starring George C. Scott. Lane stole every scene he was in. Kate Burton and Christine Lahti were also in the cast -- Lahti did not stay for the curtain call.

Posted: 6/19/12 at 8:21pmOh, I enjoyed November as well. It just wasn't without it's flaws, and I acknowledge that. It wasn't the strongest piece of theatre.

Posted: 6/19/12 at 9:55pmEmbarassment over THE FROGS? He would have noticed it by then- he wrote the show.

Posted: 6/20/12 at 7:32pmI saw Nathan Lane in "Guys and Dolls and "The Producers" and he was fantastic. We went to see "Laughter On The 23rd Floor" beacuse he was in it and he did not appear that day due to being on "Lion King" promtion tour. We were very disappointed and the understudy was not very good in our opinion.

Posted: 6/20/12 at 8:57pmAnyone remember the brilliant cartoon series "Teacher's Pet" with the voice of NL as the dog who dresses like a boy and goes to school? Thjere was even a feature film made.

Posted: 6/21/12 at 2:53pmI enjoy him on film, but my favorite memory of Nathan Lane was seeing him in BUTLEY at the Booth. It was awesome. I'd love to see him live again.

Posted: 6/22/12 at 7:45amWhile I enjoy his comedy/musical work, the two shows I've most enjoyed him in have been Waiting for Godot (really, the whole cast was superb) and The Iceman Cometh (his act four breakdown was amazing to watch).
