I'm good, thanks so much sweetie. Encouraging people to "go after him" before a show is laughable and disgusting. He doesn't want to talk to you, and if you watch him "wandering around" you're the creep. Stay away from Nathan Lane unless you know him, that's pretty just standard for the planet.
Please DO NOT ADVISE PEOPLE TO APPROACH ACTORS BEFORE A SHOW. It is rude
Thank you, Sam.

Oh pudding, No one is advising you to do anything. I personally have never done it..nor would I want too. The whole pursuing celebrities thing is creepy. I still say the way everyone gets all worked up with their indignation is hilarious and so phony. Wishing you all the best.

But yet they are not gods.... If it means that much to you.. give it a try. But this whole.. "I would never" thing is laughable....."
To be fair, Karl and Orfeh were commenting solely on the fans who get possessive, not the concept of stage dooring in general.

True.
First, your examples are really a false equivalence. Yes, you might talk to a pilot before a flight or a surgeon before surgery but you are not talking to the pilot while they are trying to get to their flight on time or the surgeon while they are trying to get the O.R. on time. Nor are you stopping them on the street to ask for their autograph or picture. The point people are trying to make is that the ticket to the show entitles you to the very best performance the actor can give you. It does not entitle you to access on the street or to stalking someone. There was a time in NY when residents of NYC would walk past a theater actor and leave them alone. They were just our neighbors. Now, with the resurgence of Broadway and the tourism ticket, there is a sense that a public figure is somehow yours no matter the time of day or circumstance. Eating dinner? No problem, just stop and sign my Playbill. TV and movie actors are not subjected to the same up close and personal space. All we are saying is to be respectful of a person's space and time and the fact that they are just trying to get to work or live their lives. Suggesting that they DEAL WITH IT seems to indicate that you consider actors something less than human and that your desire to engage should supersede their privacy. Not a healthy approach.

When you take it apart; I agree with everything you are saying. I think everyone should always be respectful. Wether they are a actor, doctor, or whatever. But actors can deal with it. Just the same way that everyone in whatever profession can. Not sure if I am expressing myself correctly. However I agree with whomever said that Lupita's indignation reads phony. It might be the immaturity.
