National Tour/Regional Gap

I've seen some musicals on tour and a few years later they play regional. I'm curious to know the usual gap between national tours and licensed productions

It varies, but I’ve been in a few regional premieres and it’s been as early as only a few months. It depends on where the tour has gone/is going.

The most recent regional premiere I’ve attended was Young Frankeinstein at La Mirada Theater
