matt was incredible. at the end, the kelli o'hara said some very heartfelt and sweet words through some tears, and that was the end of it

Sorry I'm a lurker, but I had to say I got a great laugh from "the Kelli O'Hara"...

I'm glad Matt's last night was wonderful...i would have killed to be there, but as luck would have it I moved from New York to Seattle just a week ago...d@mn...anyway, glad you all had a good time. I love this show!

Oh thanks so much for telling us all about it. I teared up just reading it haha. I saw the show the 26th and I wished him luck for his last performance. He was so sweet. Well I hope he enjoys doing his new play-Im sure he'll be brilliant. I don't know how anyone can fill his shoes in that role..sigh

Sounds like everyone who went had a good time. It seems like there was quite a group of people there! I would have loved to meet Adam Guettel, and I hope that I can one day. Thanks for your detailed review spouzic.

I wish I could be there ! Well, actually I wish I had seen the show at all, but what can I do! I am so happy and proud that Matt is getting the attention he deserves and I am sure we ain't seen nothing yet from this hugely talented, gorgeous and wonderfully good natured guy ! I wish him all the best and I am sure he will once again make us, his loyal fans, proud on his next project !!
I am really glad that all of you who attended had a great time !

Aw! Thanks for your play by play review, Mistress! For those of us who couldn't be there, it was the perfect way to experience Matty Fresh's last show.

We should all arrange to come to Naked Girl at the same time, that way he has this really obnoxious fan club waiting for him at the stage door. Hee hee hee!

Mistress pretty much covered Matt's last perf but I'll just add a couple things. I got to the theatre @ 2:56, just in time to wave to Mistress b/f the lights dimmed.

The performance was amazing! Everyone was perfect and the crowd was so enthusiastic. I started to get emotional during several parts in the show and recovered but there was no recovering after Matt started singing "love to me". The tears were flowing from there till the end of Kelli's curtain call speech. It was just a very emotional afternoon.

During intermission, I went over to say hi to Mistress and she was like "By the way, Adam is here. He was standing next to me for some of the first act." I'm not sure if I started salivating at that moment or not. lol So it was time to get back for the second act and I'm looking around the lobby as everyone is rushing back inside the theatre and I see Adam talking to someone. They're about to close the doors and I was actually thinking about staying in the lobby with Adam instead of going back inside but I didn't.

So I'm waiting at the stage door with Mistress and Adam walks out(!!!!!). I stopped him and asked him to sign my playbill and take a pic. He talked to Mistress and me for a few while I sloooooowly looked through my bag for my playbill, sharpie, and camera. Mistress told him that I was broadway betty and he put on that gorgeous smile of his and said "Yoooou're broadway betty?!" The gorgeous Mr. Guettel proceeded to write me a nice message on the playbill which made me feel special and then he was kind enough to pose with me for a pic. While we were waiting for the flash to go off, he gave me a a hug/squeeze with the arm that was around my shoulder and I had to bite my tongue to not shout out "Take me now!!" *sigh* It was awesome.

I had so many things that I wanted to tell him but I couldn't think straight. And then Mistress was making fun of me, telling me to breathe as he was signing my playbill. Another day, Adam. Another day.

When Matt came out, he saw me and gave me a big hug. I wasn't expecting that but I'm not complaining.

It was a great show...Kelli seemed very emotional the whole show (especially during their first interaction with the hat).

Lovely lovely show as always...good for Matt.

Thanks for the great reviews, Mistress and everyone who gave one. I so wanted to see Matt's last, but unfortunately that was the day I moved back into school, so it was impossible to make the trip into the city.

I swear, the next show he's in, I'll be able to talk to him like a normal human being at the stage door !
