I am assisting in research for a production where we need to create toilet brushes where the wires are fiber optic lights. Anyone have any experience with this lighting source that can offer assistance?
There's gotta be a cheap way to duplicate the fiber optic flash lights that are common in theme parks:

Cheapest way really would be to buy some of those and cannabalize them. That's what we did for fairy wands for a production of Iolanthe that I did some years ago.
There are a lot of websites that sell fiber optic and glow stick type novelties at whole-sale prices.
