while forbidden broadway may be fun, i definitely would not see if it you havent seen most of the shows it makes fun of.
and add avenue q to my list if that's her kind of sense of humor.
edit: also, people keep in mind what he said she liked... i love in the heights and would reccomend it to anyone, but from your description i think the ones i mentioned would be more appealing to her (so while catered affair may be a great show - i havent seen it i have no idea - from what i heard it does not seem like something she would enjoy) that's all.
whatever you end up seeing i'm sure it will be great. Let us know what you choose, and have fun!

Posted: 4/25/08 at 6:31pmDavid Hyde Pierce was just too much fun to watch in Curtains! And the Fantasy dance sequence in the second act was worth the price of admission alone!

I adore Curtains: it's a classic old-school musical reminiscent of the golden age of the genre. DHP is the consumate Broadway performer surrounded by an absolutely stellar cast. I know it's not to everyone's taste, but IMHO it has everything: big laughs, big production numbers, big stars and big show-stopping songs.
I saw it for the last time last week (unless I win the UK National Lottery) and I'm going to miss it so much when it closes in June. I just hope DHP and the rest of the cast are back on Broadway soon.

XANADU, MAMMA MIA, HAIRSRAY, AVENUE Q, SPAMALOT, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN are all GREAT, FUN shows !
IN THE HEIGHTS, GYPSY, SOUTH PACIFIC are also wonderful, but less "fluffy" !
