I'm considering buying tickets to see Gigi, does anyone know how the view is from the rear mezzanine?

I sat in rear mezzanine for The Last Ship and it's pretty high up. The stage is really far away. If you can sit closer, I would. You probably can get rush tickets with better seating easily for this show. Or even TKTS tickets with closer seating.

Having seen several vitriolic comments by this serial threadcrapper, I would not trust ANYTHING he says. To answer the OP's question, you can see and hear quite well from the rear mezzanine - I have sat there many times over the years.

The show is fabulous and the view from the rear mezzanine is ok. I would rather spend a bit more and get front mezzanine though.

Save your money or see something else as the rear mezzanine feels miles away

Thank you all for the advice! I think I'll spring for front mezz or orchestra.

There is a chance you may get moved up... I went on a Saturday night and I was supposed to be in the rear mezz to the side, but was moved up to the middle about 6 rows or so from the front.

Somewhat related question -- does anyone here have experience with the seats for Gigi on TDF versus the lottery/rush? I know that I'll go for one or the other, but I'm wondering which seats have tended to be better. Any advice would be appreciated!

The thing is that there are just a few seats that they sell for the rush, so if you miss those because it's a day that is crowded and there is a long line you're screwed. The rush seats are on the orchestra on the side, they are obstructed view, but the good thing about them is that you're very close to the stage. I spent a little more the last time I saw Gigi and my seats were amazing, I used a discount on a famous website though. So it wasn't full price. But the rush seats are ok. I don't have TDF, so I don't know about those.
