Never (yet) touched by Broadway

I was just thinking about all the themes and characters that have never (as of yet to my knowledge) been touched by Broadway. I came up with James Bond, Batman.. I'm going to assume we will never hear of "The Bourne Identity" as a musical, LOL! I know that may sound crazy with all the chase scenes and such, But Broadway has a magical way of bringing anything to life. Any other things you think of that has been untouched, as of yet, by Broadway? Hey, Whoever thought we would see "Tarzan", or "Les Miserables" for that matter after putting down Hugo's book??

Thanks!! I've decided that I want to cast Denis O'Hare as Agent Smith, because he can do that really cool eyebrow thing. Plus, I just need some Denny in my Broadway show. ^_^

Meet the Parents/ Fockers (Come back, Babs!)
Shark Tale (A companion to Shrek.)
Sin City (Imagine them singing about killing people.)
The Moonstone (Novel by the author of Woman in White, Wilkie Collins.)
Shrek (Oh, too late...)

That'a all I can think of but I'd like to see a Cheaper by the Dozen: The Musical. They can sing about all the kids they have.

re: Never (yet) touched by Broadway

oooh! LOL! i only go to Veritaserum to watch the videos... i've been very strict on myself to NOT read fan fiction... but i'm losing my grip and i might enter that competition on Veritiserum... haha... i wasn't obsessed until book 6 came out so i was working at the library one day (in cape cod) and there is this HUGE line, like twenty or thirty strong waiting for something and i go up to the librarian who looks like she's about to shoot someone and i say

"What's wrong!?"

and she looks at me with a fierce look and says,

"the Harry Potters haven't arrived yet"

re: Never (yet) touched by Broadway

I can just see the day when Harry Potter: The Musical hits the boards. (Maybe based on the songs of Harry and the Potters?)

I'm also still waiting for Jaws - A Musical Seafaring Adventure. They could have Jaws chewing his way across the stage à la the toy ship at the end of Act I of Titanic.

re: Never (yet) touched by Broadway

I see Jaws as a man/machinery combo, a bit like Audrey II.

You really must admire the lyrical genius of Harry and the Potters.

Nightmare Before Christmas

I spent a good hour (after just watching the movie) trying to convince my friends I could/would someday produce that. >.>

re: Never (yet) touched by Broadway

You know, come to think of it, the Harry Potter set of novels could make for an interesting musical...Lots of different musical styles could be represented, from rock for the ever growing teenagers, to older classical/medieval music for the Hogwarts staff...but maybe it should wait, what with LOTR being made and all, I mean, we can only have so many pure fantasy book musicals out there, right? re: Never (yet) touched by Broadway
