New "Little Mermaid" Songs

I have been privy to some new information about the musical score including some new songs to be included. This is very exciting news, as some of these songs are completely new!

There are 5 songs (possibly more) that are not included on the workshop demo, including;

- "That World Above" (performed by Ariel)
- "Fathoms Below" [with a sequence inspired by the siren mermaid myths called "follow that voice!"]
- "That World Above" [reprise] (performed by Ariel)
- "That Oughta Show Her" (performed by Sebastian and Triton)
- "She's In Love" (performed by Flounder and The Mermaids -most probably Ariel's sisters)

I cannot stress this enough. IT'S A FREE COUNTRY. PEOPLE CAN LIKE WHATEVER THEY WANT TO! So, people please lay off the change you icon stuff.
I'm really looking forword to the new songs, especally Flounder's.

Oh, cool.

For the record, these aren't any newer than the ones on the demo that has gotten around to basically everyone and their mom. These songs had already been written when it was recorded. Wether they were recorded too or not (and if not, why) I don't know, but they aren't any newer than "Her Voice," "If Only," et al.

I am so excited to hear these songs! With all the heely crap going around, if it's true, I probably don't want to see the show live, but give me that cast recording! I already LOVE the demo, I really want to hear the flounder song, it sounds exciting! And who knows, the show might just be fantastic (the source material certainly is)!

and, regarding the High School Musical avatar, how brave of you to admit that you love High School Musical! I bet there are a lot of people on this board who at least like it, but won't admit it!

Okay never been excited about a disney based show but since Sherie is on board, well...this is gonna be the first one I see. And as for the LEGALLY BLONDE ICON, rock on! I can't wait too see that show. Actually, I am going to try and see it in previews a couple times in NYC since I am on TDY for work in the area. Here's to hoping for 2 success stories on broadway.

alright, let me say that when i first heard about the litte mermaid i was a little 'ehhh' about it, but now, i'll admit i'm starting to get a tad bit excited. it's kind of hard no to.

oh, and call me stupid, but what are these "heelies" that you guys are refering to? thanks!
