It's so strange how the show is tailored around Nathan, because the authors said in numerous interviews that they DIDN'T tailor it around him or Bebe, because they wanted the show to live on through other actors. It's painfully obvious that when the show was sinking and they needed rewrites, they shoved Nathan even further ahead, leaving Bebe behind in the process.

I honestly love the show. It's not all that great, but (in the words of Man in Chair) it does what a musical is supposed to do, it takes you to another world and gives you a little tune to hum in the back of your head. It's not for everyone, though. Also, I just love Nathan Lane...soooo. lol

Heidi sounded a little raw vocally, but even so she was fantastic. She is acting the hell out of the role and almost walking away with the show in the process.

Foard was hitting most of the jokes tonight, I don't know if he has gotten better or if the audience was more responsive but I didn't have any issues with his performance.

The rest of the cast was solid. The show isn't a particularly great one, but I had a good time.
