As is the cast bio's and pictures. I don't know what to think about it. Definitely going yo be different. If anyone goes tomorrow, be sure to report back.
Wait, I thought Krysta Rodriquez and Kevin Chamberlin left last night?
They did. The cast page is updated with those new cast members, but maybe they haven't had time to do press shots yet.

Also, I laughed when Nathan Lane's picture came up with Roger Rees's bio. Same with Krysta and Kevin.
Roger Rees looks like that creepy old uncle that everyone tried to avoid at the family reunion! Bad touch, bad touch!
He looks a little creepy, but also looks like a great Gomez at the same time! I'd love to see him in this show

His face is the only one that was changed on the billboard in Times Square as well
I'd imagine that the Ad people had more time to prep for Rees taking over, after all it was announced months ago.
Additionally, the average tourist-theater goer isn't all that likely to notice a difference in the supporting cast, as opposed to Nathan Lane

Did they change the marquee/facade/promo shots at the theater?
did anyone see the new cast last night?

As much as I LOVE the OBC and this show, I am VERY happy for Brad Oscar most of all. 5 will get us ten that one day he'll play Gomez
Thank you for sharing that picture, rmusic11322! Adorable
I'm very curious as well. Anyone planning on seeing them soon? The show was really geared as a vehicle for Nathan, so I can't wait to hear if there are any changes for Roger or if it still holds up with him.
I'm going on March 22nd, but I'm sure we will hear about reports of the show before then.
Isn't Nathan's u/s going on for these three weeks until Roger starts?

Yes, Merwin Foard is Gomez through the 20th. Roger Rees starts the 22nd.
2 weeks...thanks. Merwin is on the week beginning March 8 and March 15. Looking forward to seeing Roger's first performance!
It will be interesting to see how much the box office suffers without Nathan.

saw the show yesterday, thinking Rees had joined the cast.
Foard was terrible. He definately has a good voice, and good stage presence, but he was utterly wrong in this role. Mr. Foard playing Mr. Lane playing Mr. Addams. It was distinctly obvious how the role was written for Lane... EVERY joke fell flat, without Lane delivering them. You can even tell in the direction of the character! Foard laughed hysterically, and you can tell that it was Lane's laugh he was impersonating!
Bebe was bored out of her mind. I was right there with her!
It was my first time seeing the show. I don't think I laughed once.
The music was terrible. The songs were unmemorable.
Fester was ok. I just hated his role.
Wednesday was good... but I was utterly disappointed in the entire evening.
At least the lighting was great. And the overall design was cool too.
I love how the outside of the theater is advertising that Roger Rees has joined the family, when in fact he doesn't join until the 22nd.
Sorry to hear about your experience, lightguy06222...it's too bad you didn't know about Roger's start date.
I've heard that said about Foard in the role before. But like I said, the show is tailored around Nathan. I hope they change some things and tailor some more stuff around Rees.

I saw The Addams Family last April when it first opened and Bebe was bored then. That was exactly the way I described her performance to friends of mine. Normally, I like her, but she didn't seem interested when Nathan Lane played the part, so...maybe it's just a paycheck that happens to be for a starring role but not her favorite. It had some good moments, but overall this show is very disappointing.
I thought that Bebe playing bored was a choice...not necessarily a good one, but it read like a choice to me.
Either way though, I'd be bored as hell too if I were her, that role is so horribly underwritten and she really got the short end of the stick there, the show was totally written around Lane and his talents.
