Err...A jet-setting drag queen that pretends to be a pilot? Can they just scrap this entire campaign which could very easily confuse and deter the general public?
^ me too. I hope they could recreate the chase poster from the movie with Tveit and Norbert.
Don't really care about what art work they use, the show was incredible in it's pre b'way run. I can't wait to see the changes.
This is by far the show I am most excited to see this year.
I like the old arrow artwork best too. Sometimes less is more.

It's as plain as the nose on your face. They're going head to head with Priscilla.

^Haha
I think it's good. I like the original better, though. But this is still nice.
I saw it in Seattle aswell, and LOVED it. "Breakin' All the Rules" and "Bury Me Beside The One I Love" were show stoppers. Can't wait to see the changes!
I love the art work as well. I saw it in Seattle and thought there were some amazing moments ("Fly Fly Away" was my favorite new musical theater song this year) but thought the book needed a lot of work. That said, I've never enjoyed McNally's book writing, so it may just be a personal opinion. I'm still excited to see it on Broadway and hope they nail it!
The pilot in this poster is a lot more masculine than the previous, which is an improvement. However, the tag line (which I like) combined with the images leads me to believe that the pilot has to make up a double life as a woman if he wants to "make it" and that's what the show is about.
The title "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN" is flirtacious in itself. What I do not get from the poster is that someone is chasing someone or something. To me, this poster artwork is a combination of a ideas. IMO, they need to simplify and edit. And this comes from a perspective of someone who wants the show to succeed, so I hope whatever they create works.
They're relying on people knowing what Catch Me if You Can is. And honestly, I'd say most of the people that would be buying tickets to this already do.
I like it from an aesthetic POV. It's very eye-catching, albeit misleading.

eye-catching/popping? yes.
However I think it is a poor design. the main story is about frank and the FBI agent chasing him. yes girls are involved but they are in no way a point of this story. i like the colors, the tag line, and how the pilot looks, however the legs need to go.
