Why cover up classic art for that trash?
Classic art doesn't make money. Good advertising does.
I think it's fun and exciting, but rather tasteless. I would much rather see the mural that exists behind this thing than that giant red "Thing."
Oh well.
I am not even a fan of DROWSY, but I think it's a sensational ad.

Mixed feelings...the Marquis needed something like this, though, but then again I'd love to still have that mural.

Good lord that is huge. So if that is on one side of the breezeway, what's on the other side? Is it doors or windows or something?
I'm assuming this isn't permanent. Eventually when most of the cast leaves they might take it down. And wouldn't the mural underneath be on display again?
Anyone know what the deal is with the windows around the marquis? Last time i was up they had drowsy ads stapled to wood covering the windows.
I was very upset when I saw this because I liked the old mural. I am pretty sure that they took the old mural down first rather than just covering it with this one. Hopefully they put the old mural in storage and will bring it back when the Drowsy on is gone. With all the tourists in this area though because of the new TKTS location I am sure that this will be great publicity (but I still miss the old one).
Hah I was also there when they were putting it up-- it was pretty intense.
