What do you guys think about a musical using songs from Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis and Dean Martin? Maybe it could be a mobster gangster musical?
I am just so sick of recycling old songs into musicals. Write some new music, JEsus Christ. It's just so tired I'm very turned off by it all...MAMMA MIA, MOVIN' OUT, ALL SHOOK UP, GOOD VIBRATIONS, NEVER GONNA DANCE, LENNON. It's too much. We need new music.
Well, considering Las Vegas revived the Rat Pack, I don't think that would ever happen. But, would they throw Judy in there somewhere?
O there was a musical like that already? Do you have any info on it?
I know what you mean about all these recycled songs getting annoying though, I really wish I could write something new...I'll keep trying.

As I recall, the reviews were pretty awful for this:

I know these are all parts of other media outlets but why not get some excellent books and turn them into shows before the movies take them and mutilate them.
"The Five People You Meet In Heaven" would be cool.
There were two Rat Pack musicals in London. I believe one of them is still running.
I agree about the new music. I'm sick of these jukebox musicals. Then again, I'm not an ABBA, Beach Boys, Elvis, or Billy Joel fan, so the idea of hearing their music all over again totally turns me off.
However, I WOULD be into a Madonna musical...(insert cliche)

im not so sure how a musical w/ frank sinatra songs would work out, seeing as most of his songs came from 40's musicals in the first place.
Jon, i thoguht the very same thing about "The 5 People You Meet In Heaven" ... i think it would be an awesome musical...
The Rat Pack just played Toronto's Canon Theatre for a while.
