I wish we had your seasons. This year's season was Avenue Q, Wizard of Oz, Mamma Mia, Cirque Dreams Illumination, RAIN & Rat Pack...
Yawn(Except for Ave. Q)

Posted: 3/16/10 at 11:36pmThat sucks. I'm sorry. Avenue Q comes here in June. So we'll see how that turns out. Wicked is sold out here, so thats great! I hear they have some pretty big shows lined up for The Saenger Theatre's reopening in late 2011. Should be nice!

Definitely not as excited about the forthcoming season. 2 boring shows, 2 mediocre shows, 1 meh revival, and I may be mistaken, but didn't we JUST get "The Color Purple?"
I am, however, glad to hear that the "Avenue Q" tour is in good shape, and thrilled to hear that there's good rumblings for the Saenger's reopening season. It just doesn't feel right seeing tours anywhere else...

#9New Orleans Broadway Season 2010-11
Posted: 3/17/10 at 5:20pmIt saddens me how unfortunate the season is. Not even Rock of Ages or 9 to 5? Jersey Boys? Hair? I really am curious as to why New Orleans chose the smaller shows to come here, considering the entire 1 month Wicked engagement is sold out, as well as Mamma Mia and The Color Purple. We deserve some shows here too. Not even a disney flick? Nada?
