roscoe, i like your brutal honesty about things. i chuckled at the sad reality behind both this message and your review of Nine from last night. nonetheless, i think ill agree with you about this film, though i still encourage people to see it for the sake of keeping the interest in musicals up.

Glenn CLose would have been great, but my first choice was Donna Murphy. SHe defines Madame Giry in my opinion, but oh well. The only I thing I saw Richardson in was "Alice In WOnderland" and I really can't judge how great she'll be from her disgustingly high and squeaky voice. I was also looking forward to seeing Alan Cumming. Oh well- I'm sure the movie will be great. The only reason I am looking forward to Minnie Driver as Carlotta is because I loved her voiceover work in "Tarzan"-lol.

Hi,
I have also seen Miranda Richardson in Alice. She is fit .... for Carlotta. She has those Carlotta feel, always screaming, shouting and fussing all around... But I am quite prepared that the movie will disappoint me. I REALLY hope that Hugh Jackman can be Phantom!!!!!!!! But hopeless now!!! I hope that this POTO movie will not suck like CHICAGO the movie!!! *cries and disappointed*
My CHICAGO the musical group!
