"I'm not quite sure how you can judge me without knowing me, but can put complete faith in someone who has proven personally and professionally over and over again that he is scum."
Ummm... I'm not judging you. I'm telling you that it's in poor taste to criticize someone who is doing great things for the theatrical community (and YES, he IS... to say otherwise is absurd) based on your own personal dislike of him in real life. Clearly, you missed this point since you CONTINUE to do it. And as for the "professional" part...
"And 8ball, I know this because in addition to knowing Scott, I know several of the performers singing on his site who are a little ticked off at not having given their permission to have their voice there. It's about common courtesy in calling the actors and requesting their permission and calling the writers (all of whom he seems to be close personal friends with) and saying "hey, can I put your song up on my website." It has more to do with legalities and respect for his fellow artists, than my dislike for him."
The post directly below yours certainly makes you look like a fool, doesn't it?
"So magic8-you think that as long as the whole score is not out there for free, the writer doesn't deserve any credit or payment for their work? Not that this is on the same level, but if Barbra recorded "Home," Scott wouldn't deserve to get credit on the CD or be paid simply because she didn't sing the whole score to PIECES?"
Did I say that? No. I said that featuring one song from a certain score isn't going to deter potential customers from purchasing the full cast recording. Which it isn't.
P.S. camthom, I know TONS of people in the professional theatre world who I despise in real life but would NEVER speak poorly of in the manner that you do Scott. It really makes you look bad.
"Goodness is rewarded. Hope is guaranteed. Laughter builds strong bones. Right will intercede. Things you've said I often find I need, indeed. I see the world through your eyes. What's black and white is colorized. The knowledge you most dearly prized I'm eager to employ. You said that life has infinite joys."
