No clue what the usage will be on these, but a lot of people have asked for them, and they were easy to add, so all the regional sites now have their own message boards.

No TORONTO board?
After all Toronto is #3 for theatre after London and New York!
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
As someone who posts a lot about LA theater, I can understand the reason for a regional board. However many people from other parts of the country have expressed interest in what's happening here, especially as it relates to Broadway performers appearing in LA, buzzed about shows being presented here. I think this type of board risks ghettoizing the different regions. Will my posts about LA theater be rerouted here, even if I post them on the main board? This BWW.com family is about community, and I really hesitate to relegate my posts to the LA board.
Steven :)?
No board for Charlotte, NC? Raleigh, NC? LOL
Why not one per state?
Ah - who am I kidding, I don't expect I'll be using them. I'm too busy checking the Broadway Message Board and the Off-topic Board.

I don't really think things will be 'ghettoized' (nice word, btw). I would assume that people living in the city don't really care about whats going on in Boston, Seattle, LA, etc, unless it pertains to upcoming Broadway shows (meaning: they don't really care how the newest Raoul understudy is on the tour, or something similar). This just frees up space on the main board for actual Broadway stuff, not national tours.
I may be over-generalizing here, but just my two cents.
I like the additions. Thanks Rob!
Toronto and a few other regions will be added "shortly." There's no requirements (or planed requirements) saying anything has to be posted on a regional board, here, etc. Post in both, either, etc.
The regional boards are more of a bonus, allowing folks interested in a particular area to congregate in a place that's a bit more focused, but no probably with discussing regional stuff on the main board as well.
As a reminder, if you're interesting in writing for any of the regional sites, let me know.
can't say this strikes me as a good idea. Now people may have to search two or more boards to find a review or meet other theater fans?
sometimes less is more Rob.
Hmmmn, I can make search thingee go across boards and note if it's on a regional one?
you're the boss. you did it, so may as well see if it works (but it won't work, sorry to say.) Even the West End board gives me the creeps. It's very lightly used, and is this freaky blue color, like a ghost. Like that board is from some twilight zone mirror world. Besides, all the fun London folks seem to post on BWW.

The search across the boards is a good idea, I think. Maybe add a drop down list that turns searching of the regional boards on/off?
Added the option to search to 'Search Across All Boards.' As I said, a number of people have asked for there to be regional boards, and was about a 20 minute job to create, so no worries either way regarding their use.
I naturally think they could come in handy, but I've never professed to know much of anything
While you're in there, can you get rid of the red? Very hard on the eyes! Perhaps green?
Green?
Phanty and you are my son?
Red is the new black.
Red causes stress. Green is relaxing.
The West End board is awful. Apart from all the cool Brits on this site (a la Me!) all the other Brits post on Dress Circle's messageboard and the Whatsonstage.com board. Even though they're nowhere near as good as this. This is my super fave board! I would like a UK regional board, and get rid of cruddy West End World or whatever it is called. And it does have a ghostly colour, I agree 100%.
I suppose if this is what some folks want then it's ok. I just like having one place to go to and read about news from all over. (Sometimes I forget about the off-topic board and even that gets frustrating!)
I like knowing what's playing in the regions - I just don't like having to go to a lot of different boards to read about them.
I don't know how many Nebraskans there are here, besides myself, but how about an Omaha board? There's over 30 non-professional theatres here in Omaha - I was told that's the most non-professional theatres in any city in the USA. Impressive, no?
If not an Omaha board, can we get one for Kansas City?
I've thought about it, and I don't plan to be posting on the regional board. If people aren't interested in my posts, they can simply not read them. Though I fully expect some to tell me that those who live "in the city" aren't interested, I think enough people will want to know what happens outside of Manhattan to make it worth my while to continue posting here.
I think this could be very useful.
I would suggest a Houston board as it is the more prominent city in Texas with the Alley Theatre, Theatre Under The Stars, Stages Repertory, Main Street Theatre, and others plus the new Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.
I would even go so far as to say that Texas could have its own board. I'm an Austinite and there is always tons of theatre going on as well. But I understand there would be more draw for just a Houston/Dallas board.

I'm baffled over the resistance to the additional boards. It takes all of an additional 5 seconds to see if another board has something of interest to you. And if you're looking to find input on a regional production it makes sense to start there.
Added Houston on to the Dallas / Ft. Worth board, and also changed the visual style of the West End site / board to the same as BWW.
you should have this thing that pops up if a poster is on for more than three hours saying nice encouragin things like: GET OFF AND GO OUTSIDE FAT ASS!
little motivating things to get people outside!
