I thought our very own "Gleeker" was up for one of these roles.

I can assure you Ava has not yet gone on. Paige and Milly did all the weekend shows.

I'm not sure but I do know that many shows had a double this Sunday so there may have been 2 shows. Once had two shows on the 5th as did many others. The holiday schedule has now ended and it's back to normal. I certainly hope that this sickness is only at Matilda. It's very close quarters back stage and if one comes in sick you can be sure others will be sick so production would much prefer the actor take a sick day rather than perhaps spreading the sickness to the rest of the cast.
I'll add we went on Christmas night and saw Gabriella - she was quite good. My daughter loved it and wants to go again. I enjoyed it but would prefer to see others instead but I'm not 7.

Considering each girl goes on only twice a week and you have only seen one Matilda, your odds of seeing a different Matilda are pretty good if you go again. Of course, it could be the same girl..you never know for sure, especially if you are getting tickets ahead of time.
I have done the lottery a few times (and won twice)...and I have been able to figure out who was portraying Matilda before I entered. Usually (but not always) the girls don't go on twice in a row - so I could decide whether or not I wanted to try lottery based on who was listed on the cast board in the lobby. I saw three different Matilda's without too much effort on my part.

^^Yes she is set to start this week... with the rest following in the next month.
So it seems like one of the current Newtildas should be leaving this week as well. I wonder who..Paige was the first one to start.

Congrats to the new girls. It seems the Shuck family will be busy. Brooklyn's sister is going out on the new Annie tour. I guess I need to see Matilda again soon. Lol.

I believe that that Paige is performing her final show is this weekend. Does anyone know if that would be tonight (Sat night) or tomorrow? Or am I wrong?
Thanks...
Thanks...

For those that care, Fina Strazza made her debut as the youngest girl to play Matilda on Broadway today. She did exceptionally, and didn't miss a beat!

I saw her also. You would not have guessed it was her first performance. She gave a thoughtful and intelligent performance...and she had a really good handle on the weird accent. I didn't find her version that jarring.
After the show, all 4 New Matildas were there taking photos together (and giving Fina big hugs for her performance)..you could see them inside the door where they come out.
I noticed that Fina is quite a bit taller than the other three...even though it was announced at the beginning of the show said that Fina is the youngest Matilda so far.

During the Emmy's this Ricky Gervais Audi commercial came on and I thought the little girl in it looked really familiar. Realized it's one of the Newtilda's - Eliza Holland Madore. So cute!

Yes she is very funny in the ad. Thanks for posting.
There is also a Youtube out there of her singing "Quiet" in her pajamas at home in her bedroom when she was 6 years old. Now she is 8...come a long way it seems.

Happy Trails Ripley. I know we will see you in the future. You can't be a Matilda without being special..and all the girls have their own special strengths but Ripley became my favorite...
I wonder which of the New Tinytilda's will be starting on Sunday.

I think I heard Jill Paice mention at the stage door that this is her last week as well. (and that Gabriella is performing on Friday)

Does anyone know who'll take over for Miss Honey? It's weird that we haven't heard anything yet.

If this was Jill's last week, no one acknowledged that on stage (would they have?) on Sunday.
I did see a few of the show kids come out in tears. I thought maybe they themselves were leaving...maybe not. I did read it was Marcus's last day (Kid swing)...and when Chris Sieber left and saw him, he bent down and held Marcus's face..said a few words.. It was sweet.

Yes it was Marcus D'angelo's last show. He is the first replacement kid to leave I believe.

What part did Marcus play for his last show?
Also, it says on Playbill Vault that there's someone in as Eric now. Did Ted get moved to Marcus's swing part?
