Hello everyone,
I will be in NYC from 13 till 19 November and would love some show recommendations (plays and musicals) for that time - excluding anything currently on in London (or transferring there shortly like Fela). I would also love any insider info on cabarets/concerts during that time that should be on my "to see" list. Musicals generally preferred to plays for this visit although I already have Driving Miss Daisy on my list!
Thanks so much advance for all your help, in the meantime I shall trawl the board for more info....

Honestly, it is really hard to make any recommendations for shows that far in advance. It's hard to predict what the Broadway landscape will look like in five months. Shows can announce closings at any time.
I can say that the PeeWee Herman show will be open at that point. I don't know if you would have interest in that but it will definitely be open. Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown should be open at that point as well.
But for stuff that's currently open it's hard to say. Will Promises, Promises survive Kristin's departure? Will Million Dollar Quartet and Memphis still be open by then? It's hard to predict that.
I can recommend Seth Rudetsky's Broadway Chatterbox. Thursday's @ 6pm at Don't Tell Mama when Seth is in town. http://www.sethsbroadwaychatterbox.com/home.htm
