I'm going to new york next week and i cant decide what shows to see. Any suggestions? Things i've already seen are Wonderful town, i am my own wife, caroline or change, hairspray, avenue q, aida, wicked, lion king, producers, little shop, and rent. What else should I see that I haven't seen yet?
ASSASSINS (If I'm not wrong about it not closing until July 18th)
Maybe Boy From Oz, and The Producers (even though you've seen it already) if you haven't seen it with Hunter Foster...

Maybe try De La Guarda (it's closing soon and I think they have some promotions through playbill.com), Blue Man Group or Here Lies Jenny?
Regardless, have a great time!
uuups, forgot ASSASSINS. Yep, go! It's a great production.

If it's still open when you're there (closes a week from tomorrow), I highly recommend Assassins.
Otherwise maybe Chicago, Phantom, or Beauty and the Beast since you haven't seen them and all are available at TKTS.

Definitely Assassins, and you'll probably need to see The Boy From Oz, just for Hugh.
Check out either SLY FOX or SIGHT UNSEEN.

Silly Matt, those are plays, not musicals...they are not Broadway shows!
But Penalers included "I Am My Own Wife", so I guess he/she's up for plays too.
P-
You have seen most of the great shows. But you have not seen my favorite.
Forbidden Broadway.
I liked Sight Unseen. It is a very solid play. Sly Fox is very funny but I would still pick Forbidden Broadway over anything.
If I was offered tickets to Avenue Q it would be a tough call though.

Try to get into Assassins....it's your only chance!
I loved Assassins but a lot of people hate it.
My Aunt who loved Q, Lear and almost every show I love hated it.
But she also hated Millie.
I think you should try and see Assassins if you can.
I loved the cast. Denis O'Hare, Mario Cantone, Marc Kudish.
It is a great show and the acting is incredible.
Don't shoot me if you hate it.
I talked my Aunt into seeing it and she HATED IT.

Understanding COMPLETELY everyone's problems with the piece in general, if individual performance is of interest to you, THE BOY FROM OZ contains one that will be talked about for years - and that is rare.
Phantom of the Opera. You have to see this at least once in your life. It is a requirement
The Frogs. (Of course, if there's a strike you'll have to join the line of thousands waiting for cancellations)
42nd Street - the "Broadway" musical
Phantom of the Opera - a must, that is going to hold the record soon for the longest running show on Broadway
Fiddler on the Roof - hey it's not on your list
Boy From Oz - how often do you get to see Hugh Jackson
The Producers - you saw it, but Hunter is in it!!!
Hairspray - why not again?

Saw "The Musical of Musicals, the Musical" Off-BWAY last weekend....Same idea as "Forbidden Broadway", but instead of song parodies, takes a plot and satirizes it 5 different styles; Rodgers and Hammerstein, Sondheim. Weber, Herman & Kander and Ebb...very talented cast and a bit more clever than "Forbidden Broadway". Saw "Bug" OFFBWAY...Powerful but gruesome....."Frozen" is powerful as well with Swoozie Kurtz; but a bit disturbing.....Depending on your taste you can't go wrong with any of these three shows...all were at TKTS...If you see any of them let me know what you thought.....Have Fun,
Rowsend
yeah I would def go for BFO since it won't be around for very long. It's not the most phenomenal show or anything but Hugh makes it worth it! Also try for Assassins before it closes.

THE BOY FROM OZ -
Mainly to see Hugh Jackman's TONY award-winning performance, but you might also enjoy the stellar performances from his co-stars ( Isabel Keating, Stephanie Block, Mitchel Federan, Beth Fowler and Jarrod Emick).
