Posted: 12/31/09 at 11:45amOn Christmas, I had dinner with my family at the stage deli, prior to seeing West Side Story. I ate the Hugh Jackman Hot Open Faced Sandwich...with a side of fries. Boy was it tasty. Has anyone else tried meals named after celebs? I couln't resist making a thread about an open faced Hugh Jackman sandwich. Hope I didn't offend anyone. Happy New Year!

If any of y'all ever get up the the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, they have a deli in town with sandwiches named after the stars who've worked there over the years. The Blythe Danner, the Christopher Reeve, etc...
And since the advent of internet abbreviations, they've had to stop refering to themselves as the "WTF"!

The dessert peach Melba, peach topped with ice cream and raspberry sauce, was named after the soprano Nellie Melba. I've had that dessert more than once, and always with pleasure.
And Melba toast was also named for her. I suspect we've all tried that at some point.
