Based on the terrible ratings both A CHRISTMAS STORY: Live! and RENT: Live! brought in plus the promptly cancelled HAIR: Live! shortly after, I think it’s safe to assume no network is mounting any live musical events in the near future. Seems mass appeal interest is waning at this point.
