Since If/Then is closing in March, and Hamilton isn't coming to Broadway til next season, do you think another show is coming in this season?
With If/Then closing on March 22nd, I highly doubt it.
It would have to load in, have previews and open in 32 days, so... unlikely. Unless something is really ready to go. Never say never, though.

after Driving Miss Daisy closed April 9th 2011 and The Normal Heart started previews 8 days later on April 19th 2011 had nine previews and opened the day of the cut off and then won best revival, I will never say never.

Word is the Rodgers will have a new show open by Tony cut off.
(Fixed a typo - not "Rogers")

I wonder if it's Amazing Grace. (I actually thought it'd be a play with a strictly limited run since I'd heard Hamilton was coming next season.) I don't know if American Psycho is ready yet.

I would love to know where you all are getting your incorrect information. It's really funny.
well considering a new show was just announced for Studio 54, I wouldn't be surprised if a small play comes into the Rodgers before the Tony cutoff date.
Something is transferring to the Rodgers just before the cutoff date.

It's Hamilton, isn't it?
Edit: Wondering if it's a limited run of "Charles III".

An Act of God for Studio 54 is happening AFTER the Tony cut-off date… and with much more time in between the closing of Cabaret and the start date of that.
Studio 54 also has a huge renovation ahead to bring the state of the theater back to the original set-up.
Also, let's not forget last season No Man's Land/Waiting for Godot closed on March 30th and The Cripple of Inishmaan started previews on April 12th, 13 days later. It's possible for something to come into the Rodgers, but it will most likely have to had a run elsewhere s they have a small preview period.

I would LOVE a run of Charles III to hit NYC. That would be a real treat.
Anyone who says something is coming in before Tony time: can you give us a hint on what the show might be?

That's way too big a house for that show I think. (Also, when was the last time they had a reading or production of some kind? This has to be something ready to go. I'm thinking it's a play most likely-less technical stuff and rehearsal time, etc.)
There was just a fairly official announcement the other day that King Charles III was coming in the fall so I don't think it's that, assuming the announcement was accurate.
I agree with Falling and I would guess it would be a play or musical with a simple set, lots of money ready to go, and that has already completed a pre-Broadway run elsewhere ... like Amazing Grace.

A key word answers the mystery of the next show... "transferring".

It could be any number of shows. I think Hamilton would be wise to wait-it's a crowded musical season now. I could see it getting lost with the incoming shows. (I saw it and it has some great things-but I think it still needs more work and time.)
I'm wondering if The Iceman Cometh might cometh to Broadway. (The BAM production...that just occurred to me.)

MDM said "The Rogers" has a show coming in by the cut-off. Not sure where that is, but it's not the Richard Rodgers.

I still think it's a dicey proposition for an already crowded spring.
