I was just watching a video from Next to Normal(I'm guessing from Arena Stage) and the song was called "Costco". I don't understand how that song played a part in the show and where it fell. By judging from the beginning of the video I'm guessing after "Everything Else".
It hasnt' been in the show since 2nd Stage, I believe. Honestly, though I don't remember exactly where it was in Act I. I'm sure others here will, though.

Yep, you're correct. It used to come after "Perfect", which was later replaced by "Everything Else". "Just Another Day" just to end without Diana's sandwich meltdown, and go into Natalie's practice room song. I think Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey said they cut it because it just didn't fit with the rest of the tone of the show (which is true), and they wanted Diana's meltdown to be revealed sooner.

I think they also said something about it displaying her illness in too much of a comical way. In an interview, somebody said something about how the show is unique in the way that it throws away its first chance for applause (Just Another Day) to focus on the story and it also helps teach the audience about Diana's character.
