I was wondering if anyone thought Spring Awakening would ever be broadcast on MTV. The issues are somewhat relative to their viewers lives. I don't know i was just wondering if you guys thought it would ever happen or could ever happen. or is it too taboo?
Thoughts?

"Passion" could be good for MTV.
or "Marie Christine", maybe.

Nothing. I don't think they'd do it again.
I would love for XANADU and SPRING AWAKENING to be broadcast on MTV, but it won't happen.
I say...let's have a Broadway channel and broadcast shows on their closing night. Harvey Weinstein can pay for it...he loves musicals. (Note: sarcasm)

Posted: 10/16/07 at 8:59pmha ha. but i really wish there was a Broadway channel. i mean taping shows & showing them might not always be able to be done. but like a channel with biography shows, behind the scene's, news, i would watch that ALL the time. the closest thing there is to that is some thing on IO for broadway.com with show synopsis's, ticket ordering & pics.

Posted: 10/16/07 at 9:36pmI really don't think anyone else will be broadcasted soon. I mean Legally Blonde is so well known from the movie, and if they did something like "Spring Awakening" ppl wouldn't really be drawn to it. Plus SA Wicked, and Hairspray are all doing pretty well so I doubt they will air any time soon.

Posted: 10/16/07 at 9:46pmnothing wrong with Broadway reaching out to the masses........I'd love Spring Awakening or Rent to be shown on MTV. Rent is actually pretty likely becuase they wouldn't have to sensor that much, and it could DEFINATELY use a new fanbase...seeing the attendance percentages drop.

Hmmmmmm, Maybe wicked? It's so popular with the age group.
If they do it again it will be for something recognizable, most likely another movie turned into a musical.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P.
