Based on this promo, it is clear that there was a full version filmed. At least I think so. But IDK why they would release it since the tour made a lot of changes.

I'm pretty sure it was the stationary house camera. They might have actually just been rehearsing off the live-feed monitors, since Jackie has a lot of time off in ACT II.

Actually the tour is doing very well. As of July 2009 the production re-couped its initial investment.
And the tour will run over a year past that date...

I don't think I'm overreacting. You can clearly tell the actors are getting pissed off and/or frustrated. And I just don't find them funny whatsoever. I have never been one to find ignorance humorous.
