Nina from Vanya and Sonia...

Genevieve Angelson who played Nina in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike is apparently no longer in the show and has been replaced by the understudy Liesel. I know Genevieve has been out for the past month and Liesel has been going on in her place... Anybody know what happened?

Yah I was there tonight and was surprised when Liesel came on stage since there was no understudy board or playbill slip. Then I realized that her picture was in the lead spot in the playbill and Genevieve's picture was gone. I have no idea what happened to Genevieve, but this was my second time seeing Liesel and I preferred her both times.

I saw her go on as well and thought she was lovely in the role. It amazes me the chemistry between all 6 of them. What a delightful afternoon of theatre that show was.

how is the stage door these days? I am seeing it on Wed and would really want to get a poster signed

All 6 of them came out when I saw it on a Wednesday matinee at the end of April. Everyone signed, stopped to chat for at least a few seconds beyond the usual "thank you", and took pictures with those who asked. Probably the best stage door experiences I've ever had. It helped that there were only maybe 5 of us waiting.

Sigourney Weaver is so incredibly sweet and asked everyone what we thought about the show and stayed for at least 10 minutes to talk to everyone and make sure everyone got anything signed that they wanted and all pictures taken.
