"Nine" Movie Soundtrack

I've searched everywhere and can't find any info regarding the "Nine" soundtrack. November is nearing and you'd think they'd start promoting it by now. Anyone have any info?

Last I heard it will be released mid-November 2009. Nothing has been finalized nor confirmed which is why you haven't seen it advertised or officially mentioned anywhere.

They can't really finalize the soundtrack until they decide on a final cut of the movie.

They've pushed ahead, in years past, releasing movie soundtracks with cut songs. Many times, in fact.

My favorite example of The Wizard of Oz (70 years ago) was released with The Jitterbug on it.

And that song title was printed in a list of songs on all the first-run sheet music, too. It was only removed in subsequent printings.

"1776" had Cool, Considerate Men. That mess of a movie "Lost Horizon" has many cut songs on the soundtrack.

Lots of examples.

Oh I don't say that to infer they wouldn't include cut songs, Best, but final print does affect the track order, scoring edits etc., i.e, the structure of the soundtrack recording.
