"I am a huge Faith Prince fan, and since she didn't come out after I saw the show, I wanted to know if that was a regular thing. Actors who usually come out sometimes have their reasons for not stage dooring on a particular day. I'm willing to make the bus ride into the city again just to try meet her, if she does indeed 'sometimes' come out. I guess that's the planning ahead that I didn't specify I had to do."

And you practically answered your own question. Actors will have certain reasons for not coming out on a certain day. There's no way to really predict if someone will sign whether it seems to be a regular occurence or not; since you are aware of that, then why not make the trip out to NYC? Faith Prince has stage doored before, you might catch her on a day that she does sign autographs. It may be more likely to even see her after an evening performance, rather than a matinee, when actors may stay inside between performances. And my post wasn't necessarily directed at just you or complaining because you bumped a thread, xoffender45.

To add to it, I've seen threads that people get angry when an actor decides to not stage door, as if they're entitled to something extra after the show (not saying that's you xoffender45 or the original poster). It's gotten to the point where we are now questioning how frequently someone makes an appearance after the show and thinking something is "weird" or "strange" (I've also heard "rude") if an actor exits through another door.

And this board does get inundated with questions about people's stage dooring habits (whether you want to deny it or not) but it doesn't mean YOU will necessarily meet that actor and you may still get your hopes up (as opposed to what TheatreKid3 said). That's what I was trying to say. Not criticizing anyone for the act of stage dooring and not trying to stop people from asking these questions.

It's along the same lines as when people ask if certain seats have a good view - after they've already bought them. You can get an answer but there's not really much you can do to change the outcome.

"Also, I never implied that that gif was supposed to have anything to do with preaching."

Yet you posted it followed by the words, "YES!!! PREACH!!!" So I guess the new trend is positing gifs that have nothing to do with their posts for the sake of posting one?

Preach is slang for Right on, I agree with you, Speak it, said to give encouragement to a person dropping mad knowledge. Look it up.

I don't think it's unreasonable to be disappointed if a large number of cast members do not come out the stage door. While it's not a job requirement, I do feel it adds to the experience as an audience member. When I saw Anything Goes, I was extremely disappointed that none of the principals came out the stage door. However, there is a difference between being disappointed and being angry.

Yes, I am aware. It still doesn't change what you said and what you did imply. I'm glad you agree with TheatreKid3 and you've (sort of) successfully communicated it with two gifs.

Jonart, I agree with you. Naturally, people are going to get disappointed. But I've read other comments on past threads where people get offended or call someone "rude" because a cast member chooses to exit through another door.

What did I imply? All I said was Preach,, meaning what I defined. One may assume that I meant Preaching, but never did I say that or really even imply it.
