Noah Galvin - Dear Evan Hansen departure date?

Hi all!  Sorry if this was already discussed, but I cant find it.   Does anyone happen to know when Noah is leaving Dear Evan Hansen and Taylor is taking over?  I have tickets for 1/16 and from the sound of what I've read online, this is right around the time of transition.  Its a Christmas gift for my kids, so trying to figure out who they might see.  Thanks!!

I think Jan. 28th is right, but in case you did not know he does not perform on Wed. or Sat. matinees.

Did we really need separate threads on Noah's last date and Taylor's first date? Seems like one topic. Plus, everyone keeps saying the same thing, Noah said his last show is 1/28. You can find things that say mid-January and anything else, but none are the actor literally saying the date of their last show.

Guess you'll just have to keep waiting for your press release. But what reason do you have to think he wouldn't be (unless he hasn't started learning the accordion yet or something)?

True, but you're introducing the speculation that when Noah finishes the role, Taylor doesn't just start in it, which makes the most sense.

So, you're creating this notion that after Noah finishes, an understudy or someone goes on for some unknown reason before Taylor starts playing the role, and then requiring proof that you're invented narrative isn't true.

This would be my first time seeing a Broadway play ever. I got tickets for my girlfriend. 

Even if I do see Taylor, is it not good to see people debut on Broadway? Would I be better off pushing tickets back to February when Taylor's had more time in the role?

I am creating no notions as I merely pointed out that "is" means fact when, in truth, you do not have them.

If I say Bette Midler is playing Dolly Levi next week, that would also not be a fact, as I don't know whether she will catch a cold or sprain her ankle before then. So your metric for fact seems absurdly high, if we can't assume the next person to play a role will start after the previous person finishes.

Bette at least IS scheduled to play Dolly next week.

And, when initially announced, they said Taylor would replace Galvin as Evan in January, without specifying a date. But with Noah now announcing he is playing the role through January 28, the only remaining January dates are the 30th and 31st. So, Taylor has already been announced as playing Evan in January. I'm just following the logic that he would just play the next scheduled performance, similar to how Noah started the Tuesday after Ben left.

Noah wasn't finishing up a year-long run at a different theatre before he took over and he was/is merely a filler.

YOU said he WAS starting and I asked for the announcement.

Had you said that you THOUGHT that he was starting then that's another story.
