Nominee's performing on Tony Day?

In your experience, how likely is it for nominees to perform on Tony Day? I am coming into NY for a Tony Viewing party and was thinking of going to the Matinee performance of Pippin that day, but I really want to see Patina and Andrea. Any guesses? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Uh, I had the same idea, but it's a no go. "Pippin" is dark on Tony day, so I'm watching the show on Sat. June 8th.

As a general matter they usually do...and the nominated day-of-Tony performances I have seen were some of the best performances I have ever seen.

Most recently, the entire cast of Porgy last year. Amazing.

The other thing that is cool about seeing nominated shows/actors on Tony day is watching them emerge from the stage door in tuxes and evening gowns and wishing them luck...seriously!

Pippin does have a show on Tony Sunday, it's at 2:00.

Double check every show's schedule. Lots of shows shift their Sunday shows around or cancel them on Tony day.

If the show is scheduled, then the nominees are scheduled to be performing (unless a show specifically states that isn't the case but I've never heard of that happening.)

I love going on Tony day-the performances are amped up quite a bit-and the audience is, too. The energy really is amazing. And I've never missed a cast member on Tony day. When the Tonys were at the Beacon, there was a bus outside to take everyone to the ceremony, which was really neat.
