Oh my. Norbert in boxers . . . Whoa. My head's exploding. I love that man too much. I sure hope the way that scene is done stays in the script for when I see the show eventually. I can't wait to see TL5Y staged. I am so excited for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. I've only seen Norbert in Wicked and I want to see him sink his teeth into a meatier role.
To answer your actual question - My Strongest Suit in Aida. I totally didn't expect an impromptu fashion show. It was amusing. I figured there was dancing during the instrumental break.
Don't Feed the Plants in LSOH. I expected them all to just come to the front of the stage one by one and line up. I didn't expect them be in the plants branches and have their heads popping out. Then the plant came out into the audience. It was very cool. Aw, I love Little Shop.
Tomorrow Belongs to Me and its Reprise in Cabaret at the end of act one. I had no idea that it would be like that. Wow. I don't know if you can call it "pleasant." Powerful is more like it. Amazing though. It wasn't what I expected at all. First, it's coming out of a record player and then the Emcee shuts it and says the last line really creepily. Then the Reprise was fantastic. Disturbing but moving. Bone chilling. The way the circle formed and people supported the Nazi party so easily. The way that Herr Schultz and Fraulein Kost were shut out. Actually, that whole damn show was done beautifully in a way that I could never imagine. I didn't realize how menacing it would be in its undertones, so it really hit me. I expected it to be a lot more like the movie.

It's funny how you read the name 'Butz' and don't think anything of it. Then when you say it out loud, you're kinda like "heeheehee...butts!"
Love L5Y! Nobody Needs to Know is so moving and powerful.
I'm trying to answer your question, but strangely enough, I can't seem to think of what shows I've ACTUALLY SEEN, and which ones I know by heart from the recording

On the smoking topic: it's not my place, but I really wish they'd be careful with those voices.

I know I'm getting off topic here, but, here goes anyways.
As much as I hate to say it, I'm afraid it may actually becoming more of a trend with people because mae lead roles are popping up every where for people who do not have the "classic" clear tone voice. To me, it is a big fat turn off. And if that's your personal choice, so be it. I'm not judging you. But If my career were bases on my voice remaining healthy, I would seriously think about the harm I might be causing it.
Oh christ, I just turned into my mother...
::must call my shrink::
Norbert-hot stuff! I love that he can have a career, and a family. His-a butt, is not bad either. One thing though...I'm not trying to be mean, but has anyone noticed anything about his hair???
