Hi There BWW.
Was after some information as I can't get out to see the show. In which numbers does the actor playing Norm in Jersey Boys actually play drums and/or guitar?
Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!

This is what I vaguely remember:
Norm (although he isn't Norm when he is playing) plays drums during "I Go Ape" and "Who Loves You". I can't remember for sure, but he must also play at some point during "the big 3" (Sherry/Big Girls/Walk Like A Man) and "Dawn". Basically whenever there are 2 drum sets onstage, or when one appears immediately after the other one exits, "Norm" is on one. Towards the end of Act II when "Norm" becomes a Four Season, he is on guitar from C'mon Marianne through Working My Way Back. Although he doesn't actually have to play for real.

Not all Norm Waxmans play the drums. Wade McCollum, the original San Francisco/Chicago Norm didn't (and I don't think the guy in Melbourne does either).
In Chicago, Mike Erickson who was in the Billy Dixon track played drums a few times.
Generally, "Norm" plays the drums in "I Go Ape", the final section of "Walk Like a Man", the first section of "Dawn", as well as "Who Loves You" and the curtain calls. I can't speak for other productions, but in Melbourne, Andrew Broadbent also plays the guitar live, both as "Nick DeVito" at the start of the show, and as"Charlie Calello" in the New Seasons section.
Hope this helps!
