Does anyone know anything about it? Anyone gone to it? I want to find out if it would be a worthwhile experience. Thanks!

I went this past summer, and I must admit that it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I have never worked harder and had more fun at the same time. I’m not going to lie...they kick your butt. You work out more than you probably ever have in your life, but it is so worth it in the end. I was in a production of "Our Country's Good" and I did the musical theatre extension. I honestly believe that if you are dedicated to this profession and are willing to work really hard, this is the perfect choice for your summer. Not to mention, the people who go there are all amazingly talented and super fun! If you have any more questions, pm me!

Cherubs 2004...be the change...
An old close friend of mine was a Cherub a couple of summers before we started undergrad at NU. I think I remember him saying that he liked it, but found it too competitive at times. America Ferrara from "Real Women Have Curves" was in his group. Go figure.
America works in the talent agency next door to where i used to work on 43rd street. she is super sweet..walks around in tshirts and bandanas.
Really? What's new with her and acting?

I loved cherubs. I went this past summer (with BroadwayKate!!!). It can be an amazing experience if you are prepared to make it one. You get the opportunity to work with amazing faculty who push you (if you are willing to push yourself). You bond amazingly with the other cherubs, and I learned a large amount about myself as an actress and a person. It's hard, but so worth it.

I was a theatre cherub during the summer before my senior year of high school (many years ago) and had a great time. I made a few lifelong friends and learned an enormous amount about myself. It was a little too competitive for me at times, but I also got to do things that I had never done before and had teachers who influenced me immensely. I recommend it if you can afford it.
The other good thing that happened for me was that I decided to apply early decision to Northwestern, largely because I loved the proximity to Chicago, and I got in.
