Lovey, you know every thread you open TooDarnHot is going to criticize.

1. Sutton Foster, though I love her dearly, did not deserve a nomination for her work in Young Frankenstein. It did not show case her talent properly and I'm sure she will have many Tony nominations and wins to come. I think at this point she's just looking forward to her future works and counting the days til she's done with YF
2. Leigh Ann Larkin for featured actress
3. I feel that Is He Dead? was completely robbed - I would have liked to see it nominated for Costumes, Leading Actor, and Featured Actress.
4. November was robbed as well.
5. A Catered Affair too.

Outstanding Performance By a Kid Who Shouldn't Have Played Hookey-

But seriously- A Catered Affair was overlooked in Musical, Score, Book and Direction. Norbert Butz should have gotten an Actor in a Play nod and should have won. Leigh Ann Larkin deserved a Featured Actress in a Musical nod too.
I can almost live with A Catered Affair's snub for Best Musical, but it being passed over score is absolutly wrong
Sutton Foster without a doubt. She sang upside down, if that's not a tony nominee that I don't know what is!!!!
Based on that statement I'm assuming you felt that Chester Gregory should have been nominated for his work in Tarzan then. I believe he sang upside down as well. That doesn't mean it's a worthy enough performance to be nominated.
I shouldn't let so moran (who probably can't even pronounce my username) stop me from posting fun, light hearted threads.
unless TooDarnHot is related to my grandmother [or Erin Moran from Happy Days], I think you mean "moron".

Rupert Goold. Why oh why oh why wouldn't you nominate Rupert Goold? Did you even SEE 'Macbeth'? His direction was the best thing about it!
(Um, it's a general "you" addressed to the people who failed to nominate Goold, not at anyone in this thread. XD)

OK, Young Frankenstein for Best Musical. Not saying it should have won, but come on. Cry-Baby? Don't think so.
Cymbeline for Sets/Lighting.
Old Acquaintance for Sets.

I've only seen one of the shows that's opened this season but I too am appalled by the snubs (and, of course, Cry Baby getting nominated for ANYTHING).

Sierra Boggess (Love her)
Leigh Ann Larkin (From what I've "seen" of her, she's brilliant)
Cheyenne Jackson
Also, Cry-Baby being nominated? What the heck were they thinking?!
Sierra Boggess.
I can't believe this was her first major Broadway role. Blew. Me. Away.

re: all those who said Sierra should've been nominated, whose spot do you think she should take?

If the Tonys had a Best Ensemble, I would have complained if the cast of The 39 Steps hadn't been nominated, esp. Cliff Saunders and Arnie Burton. It's a shame the category doesn't exist.
