Let me start by stating I believe ANY piece that producers can raise money for deserves a place on Broadway. If they can get people to buy tickets...more power to them. And there IS an audience for ROCK OF AGES. If the list of bands whose songs are included have you excited. If you're a Constantine Maroulis fan. Or you looking for a loud , racous atmosphere...this is for you. The show is blindingly predictable so it's really about how much you enjoy the trip. And a goofy , silly , grab your crotch and shake your bootie show it is. Could I have lived without seeing this...sure BUT I sat back , if not lowered I adjust my expectations and had a good , not great time. If you haven't seen a musical you've enjoyed since LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA this is NOT the show for you. If you can get a great orch seat for $50 and just want some low down fun. This could do it. It helps a lot that the cast is talented and the sound system makes most of the lyrics understandable. Being a theater nerd I didn't know the majority of the songs. Amy Spangler was out but her understudy was great. Some folks left at intermission but the ones who stayed LEPT to their feets at the end so I KNOW they had fun. I know the people on this board are intelligent and I believe you'll know if this show is for you.

Thanks for your extremely fair review, notabb. I'm glad you at least had some fun.

T-minus four posts before Charlie gets in here and starts yelling at everyone.

That's it. Now call anyone who likes this show a numbskull and condescend to them while avoiding actually responding to them.
You're more predictable than a glass of milk!

^^ How do we get tid of you Charleston
You're a numbskull and I am being condenscending to you right now. I will not respond to you. I would rather avoid it.
Got Milk?
yes nice interview. Hey Charleston, I wonder what happened to you. Was kinda missing you when I checked the boards this morning. LOL
I'm disgusted with myself for even going here again.

Charile-Cakes has never attacked me. KingKong on the other hand has been nothing but rude in nasty. EVERY SINGLE THREAD HE POSTS IN ENDS UP IN SOME SORT OF ARGUMENT! The Mods can do what ever the **** they want with Charlie-Cakes, but I'm begging that they get rid of KingKong. He is making many users's experience on this board a very miserable one, including myself.

Jane2, you've participated in changing the topic of the thread just as much as the rest of us. Look at the post above my own...

Yay notabb.
"There goes another thread"
"this is not the petition thread"
"There's my post. What are you talking about"
All have nothing to do with the thread. You're apart of this just as much as we all are.
>>>Amy Spangler was out but her understudy was great

Damn , what is it with this show that brings out the piss and vinegar on this board ???
I hear there's a bar fight in the show, so I suppose it's appropriate.
PS. What is wrong with Amy? It seems as if she hasn't gone on much.

I wish I knew what was up with Amy Spangler. I saw her in WEDDING SINGER and thought she was great. I mentioned it to a friend and he said " You're lucky you saw her" Was she out a lot on WEDDING SINGER too???
"How do we get tid of you Charleston"-Collkid
How do we get rid of Coolkid?
I would rather have Coolkid gone instead of Michael.

A few pompous individuals are just too pretentious to have any fun.
I love the show.
& I admit-
I ordered drinks from my seat. I sing, scream and cheer. I bring my lighter to every show, I even made an Arsenal necklace.
lol, JerseyGirl2, you made a necklace. I'd like to see it. Post a pic on a place, please?
Don't be jealous.
My 16 year old niece's boyfriend made one for her with his guitar pick. Yes- I stole the idea.
