November Show Recommendation

Hello, all! I am looking for an upbeat show and/or can't miss musical for November -- what do you recommend?

I have recently seen Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Wicked, Book of Mormon, GHD (which will be gone anyway), and Waitress. Thank you for the suggestions!

Hello Dolly and Anastasia (these will always be my go-to picks for the time being so sorry if this is repetitive). Upbeat, at times touching, and beautifully lavish productions that you don't want to miss. I'd say go for Dolly first though, because it's a revival and we're not certain of its fate after Bette takes her final bow. Anastasia will be here for at least a few years.

What about The Band's Visit, Come From Away, Hello Dolly, or Once On This Island?

If you haven't seen Hello, Dolly! yet, make it your very top priority. It's rather easy to get tickets to Donna Murphy's performances, and she is a Dolly beyond compare.

Totally agree see Dolly w/ Donna on a Tuesday night but if you have the chance and budget see Dolly w/ Bette but she's out of the show - November 1 - 5, Friday - November 24 @ 2pm so Donna will be on :)

and see The Band's Visit!

Btw, when in November?

Most likely Saturday matinee for Veteran's Day weekend.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, everyone!

Agree on Donna Murphy--she should be great. I will be there at the very same time leading a Dallas Opera Guild group, so we'll be at the Met a lot. If you like opera at all, check out Thais or The Exterminating Angel. When I am not at the opera, I am going to see Sweeney Todd as well as a Leonard Bernstein centennial tribute show (Jazz at Lincoln Center). I am going back a couple of other times through the early winter and have tix for some plays that may be open by early Nov: Junk, Meteor Shower, and Farinelli and the King. I don't have the time to check the preview dates but each of those three plays should be terrific. I think Junk is going to be this season's Oslo.

Hello Dolly for sure. I'm not even sure you could get Bette tickets..,,but unless you really want to see Bette Midler, I'd go to see Donna. She is spectacular.
