Now that Gypsy's rush policy has changed (slightly)...

So I went to the box office today to get advance rush tickets for Gypsy today and was told that they no longer are offering them, that they only do day of now. That has not been changed on playbill's site so I thought I would post this on here and ask a question. I am getting up very early to rush Spring Awakening on the 17th as part of my Mothers Day present to my mom and was wondering if anyone thinks that I will still have a chance of getting tickets for Gypsy around 10:15? I know there are a billion threads like this, but any help will be appreciated!

You'll be fine.

The first 10 seats they give away are front row center, and then they start giving out the sides of the orchestra (which, objectively, are better seats than front row, but who doesn't want Patti belting the final for me right in their faces?). They have tons of seats, and you could stroll up to the box office at almost any time and get a seat.

I rushed on a friday and there were atleast 10 people there by 10, getting two tickets each... so unless they don't limit the amount they give I'd say it's a crapshoot :X I think it'd be easier to rush gypsy and run over to Spring Awakening and still get tickets for that

If you're planning a trip, ia it better to buy in advance or wait and rush for GYPSY? The BB discounts only go up through July 6 (I'm either going at the end of June or end of July) and so far the seats I've found on Telecharge aren't the greatest. I know rush is risky if you're on vacation, but are the seats better than you would get discounted in advance? I know it is possible to sometimes get better seats purchased from the box office, but if I can't get a family memeber from NY to pick up some tickets I might have to just go for the Telecharge ones (something like Row O) depending on when my trip is.

(When I saw GG last year, the best available seats on Telecharge were fifth row MEZZ center and when my aunt went to buy the tickets at the box office, she got 1st row MEZZ center for the same price as online)

You look absolutely terrific, honestly.

I don't know. I rushed on John Gallagher Jr.'s second to last day (Saturday) and got there around 6am and was at least 20 or 30 people back in line. I can only imagine what it'll be like for Groff and Lea.

Best of luck though!
