TO brian'sgirl we. IT IS FOR ART"S SACK nudity in shows is there for a reason not for the hell of it. If it were for the hell of it, it would be live porn. And it is also NATURAL. you weren't wearing a sweater jeans and reeboks when u came out of the womb u were completely NAKED.

Call me a product of my generation, but I find nudity anywhere a breath of fresh air especially if it fits the situation in or out of a dramatic context.
What is the problem? Americans are so full of body shame.
I cannot believe this post exists 36 years after Hair opened.
And that is how this former, but never ex, hippie feels.

Last full frontal female nudity I saw off broadway was W;t.
But there's a point here...I think some people tend to like to complain about nudity...on or off broadway. Experience tends to reveal such people as very sexually repressed. Talking with a moralistic tone about other peoples nudity is there way to get to talk about nudity without appearing to be in favor of it (which they are...in a repressed sense).
That will be $300 for the psychoanalysis.

the body is nothing to be ashamed of and those who are made uncomfortable by seeing it have issues.. not those comfortable with it.
Hi my darlings....
I think the original post was in essence asking us to
solve a puzzle that has confounded or upset her. That puzzle is, and I hope I'm correct in my assumption, that there is more
pardon the gutter phrases "dick" on stage these days than "****". I would have to say she is correct. The question thus becomes: Is there more money in "dick"????
In my opinion, nudity onstage is completely acceptable as long as it comtributes something to the production and is not gratuitous.
i think in general nudity on stage is good if the show is half decent. Let's say the show is stupid and they are adding it for the sake of let's show some t and a or frank n beans. Then it is like "o my clothes came off, onto the next scene" blehh...cats may have been watchable then. haha
well folks, u know, again, nudity will always be onstage/in
the cinema/on tv. it's 2004 and it will never go away. society progresses and this is the reality. get used to it. we can differ in opinions and that's swell. to each his own, i respect that. but if nudity bothers you when u read the fore-warning, don't go, don't see it, or turn it off.
i'm broadminded and will see pretty much anything. i've done stage nudity. i can leave after seeing play and say 'wow, that nudity was overly-gratuituous', or 'well, that nudity was prefectly placed', or in some cases 'are they KIDIDNG me, that piece rather required some nudity, given the script."
so, u know, if it bothers you, don't go. lol sheesh!
