Not a thousand and very few were downright 'catty'. Just stating opinions.
with or without Rosie....I'm not sure how much desire there will be for this project.
One of the charms of BABES IN ARMS is that ALL the numbers are performed by the "kids". No older performer (be it Rosie or anyone else) should take any number away from them.
She has such little fan support now. She is one of the most hated celebrities in the country.
Except that she's not. But you would be so right if that were true.

Correction to above posts: The song originated by the Nicholas Brothers was "All Dark People are Light on Their Feet".
This "new" rewritten version sounds a lot like the 1957 rewrite, in which an "adult' leading lady helps the "kids" put on the show. That is the version that was licenced by R&H for the past 40 or so years.
In fact, Randy Skinner (who's directing and choreographing this revival) played the lead role of Val (and choreographed)in a production of that version in summer stock in the early 1980's, co-starring Karen Ziemba (see photo) and directed by Ginger Rodgers.

If Rosie's involved, let's start the closing date poll for this production!
I am sadden to see so many negative comments about Rosie. I love her, but that aside, she is such a constant voice of support for the theater and the community I wish she were given more respect here.
