I felt sorry for him in LESTAT. Not only is he trapped (though, one suspects, not for too much longer) in a bad musical, his character was largely resigned to the sidelines. INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE is about Louis, with Lestat as a supporting character - a villainous one at that. Of all the characters in the saga, I really thought it was Louis who got the shortest shrift in the musical.

like every other male in Lestat, he seems sexually ambiguous. A neutor. I wonder what casting a masculine character would have been like.

I saw Jim in Thoroughly Modern Millie and then Lestat. I was really surprised he didn't go to Broadway with TMM, so I was glad he at least got to with Lestat. He's adorable. :)

I remember 3hree Muskateers, as both he and Sutton were in it and had just finished Millie in La Jolla.

It was fun seeing him interact with the audience in the beginning and then being dragged onstage to start the show.

One of the most talented, nicest, funniest performers I've ever seen. He will talk to fans for hours if you let him just go...he's amazing. And absolutely HYSTERICAL...everything you see in those blogs is 100% Stanek, no scripts or anything.
