Hello all,
Coming to NYC next weekend and planning to do TKTS for the OOTI Sunday matinee. Its been on the board so frequently it didn't seem necessary to buy the tickets ahead of time. Is there any advantage to getting tickets the day before at one of the non-Times Square booths? Are there typically better seats available the day of, for possibly a higher discount %? I've only ever done TKTS the day of but want to ensure we get tickets to that performance, and open to any advice :)
Thanks!

Buying it at one of the non-Times Square booths is helpful cause you know the day before you've already got tickets and don't have to deal with the throngs at the Time Square booth. Other than that, it's impossible to predict whether the tickets or discount will be better or worse. I've gotten very good seats at one of the off B'way booths and other times rejected a ticket in the afternoon for an evening show at South Street I didn't feel was that good only to try at the Times Sq. booth later on and get a better ticket. A lot depends on whether the show releases better seats they couldn't sell closer to show time which would be sold at the Times Sq. booth. As far as the discount, I've seen it start at 50% at the Off Broadway booths and when Times Sq. starts, it's 40%. I'm sure the reverse has happened but I don't think it happens as much. And with Ken Davenport pulling the strings, a guy who seems to change the rush rules on a daily basis, even if there was an established pattern, he'd break it. My advice is if you go to the off B'way booths and they have it, you like the seats they have and are happy with the discount and don't want to take a risk you might get shut out at Times Sq., grab them. If not turn them down and wait for the Times Square booth understanding there's a risk they might sell out of them before you can get to the window.

I saw Once on This Island Friday night. It was listed on TKTS in Times Square, but not at South Street Seaport. I had a great seat in the 3rd row (50% off). Saturday matinee was listed for 30% off.
