Mythus, did he die?? That... that just freaks me out.
Wait Until Dark - I played Gloria, and at the very end, I was on stage all by myself so I could get the doll and then run off... a very moving moment. Well, anyway, they had had the fight scene and the floor was all wet. I was supposed to run around the table, which was inches away from the audience. There was water there, so when I was running I slipped, grabbed onto the the table and kinda had one leg dangling off the stage... I just stood up, brushed myself off... and got the heck out of there!
Once Upon A Mattress - DEFINITELY was about 1/2 an inch from falling off of the bed (I was Winnifred). I flipped over, and I could feel... well... nothing under my leg or part of my torso so I flipped back super fast... didn't get hurt, just scared. And then one time, Dauntless was trying to pick me up, and he fell, so I fell on top of him... actually he did that a lot... oh well, he was cushioney. lol

My junior year of high school we did Working for our MIFA (competion) show. Well our set was a whole bunch of Wenger platforms at different angles and heights. We all brought them out in a somewhat choreographed fashion. Well I was on the side that went into another and then had another platform that butted up to on the side of ours and when we did it I had to jump out pretty quick so we could push our platform into the other one and be in our positions to start the opening number. At district festival things were going as normal and I ran around the side to get to the front of our platform but the girls who's butted up to ours were coming out much faster than normal and the corner of their platform met the inside of leg. I wore a navy blue skirt and navy blue tights and it ripped my tights right open leaving a big white section on my leg and there was about a 6 inch gash on my leg that was bleeding uncontrollably. It hurt like a b***h and there was nothing I could do but sing and smile through the opening number. Not to mention how desperatley I wanted to pull up my tights so as not to have a large white section showing. Yeah that one sucked.
Also, When I was 14 I was in the chorus of Bye Bye Birdie and during 'Lot of Living To Do' my dance partner and I did a kick lift where he bent down and I went straight on his back and kicked up legs. Well I guess one night I was a bit too heay for my partner and he bent down and we just kind went right down onto the stage. I don't think too many people in the audience noticed because we were in the middle of the group but it was one of the funniest things that's ever happened to me.

Posted: 12/18/04 at 11:24pmOne time I was in Bye Bye Birdie and there's the one scene where Birdie has a concert and we all had to faint. Our stage was pretty small so we were like on top of each other. I was at the edge of the stage and I decided to fall on the steps so I wouldn't smash anybody. Well, that was a mistake! I ended up missing the step I was planning to fall on and sliding down the stairs and hitting my face and knees on all the steps and landing at the very bottom. I was so embarrassed because everyone in that side of the audience cracked up!

Posted: 12/19/04 at 11:08amWell, when I was in a production of Bye Bye Birdie, the teenagers had to swing dance in "A Lot of Livin". We had practiced this song tons of times before, and we had the swing dancing down perfectly. But then, opening night comes, and while swing dancing, the guy who I am paired up with drops me on my head. We were supposed to be doing that move (I forget what is called) where the women holds on to the mans hands, jumps up and dips down with her legs going up around the man (Okay, that did not sound right), and then flings back the other way so she can stand back up again. Anyways, while doing the dip thing, that is when he dropped me on my head. And he was really strong too, so it wasn't like I was to heavy or something. He just totally spaced out on how to do the move, and dropped me. Needless to say, I got a pretty big bump on my head, but other than that, I was pretty much alright.

Posted: 12/19/04 at 11:16amI was in 42nd Street last year at a theatre that had just been renovated. However, the renovators didn't do such a good job at the stage- after several rehearsals and shows with tapping, the stage cracked a little bit. So one show, I was tapping the final number ("42nd street reprise") and one of my taps gets caught in one of the cracks. I yank my foot out, and it makes my body twist in an odd way. Well We had streamers and other stuff like that floating across the stage at that time, and when I twisted my body, one of the streamers got caught around my neck. Perfect. Right before the section where we do a million turns. So I start turning and the ribbon wraps. and wraps. and wraps around my neck more and more. So I'm doing all of these turns and not really breathing, so after that section when everyone runs off stage so people can have the stage to do flips and tricks and such, and I have to spin about 6 times in the opposite direction to get the streamer off of my neck, and run offstage. Bad times! lol

I was in a production of Assassins a little while back, and during rehearsals, for some reason or another (I don't recall why), I tripped and fell. So I saw my chance and said a famous quote by a certain woman: "****! I hurt my knee!" Hehe, even the director cracked a smile.

Posted: 12/19/04 at 11:24amI was in Big River when I was 13, and during the Act 1 final("When The Sun Goes Down In The South"), I fell off a platform and scraped up the inside of my leg. Atleast it was intermission and I had time to bandage it up before Act 2.

A few times:
Children of a Lesser God -
The set was this maze of ramps and platforms and the first tech rehearsal I was so worried about the inexperienced actress playing opposite me that I told her I'd guide her onto the stage for our opening positions. Blackout. Music. They hadn't yet glow taped the edges of the platforms and I walked right into a 3 foot hole, ripping off my big toenail and breaking said toe. What is the sound of a deaf actress laughing?
Bye Bye Birdie -
Hugo Peobody chasing Kim off stage right (like, what, 275 times during the show) - the stage manager had some sort of emergency and was running in an opposing direction. I was 16 and like 120lbs. He was like, well, older, and maybe 300lbs. We collided and I actually bounced, caught myself and snapped my ankle. The rest of the "run" on a crutch.
Jerker-
Opening night stubbed my little toe on a bedframe as the play was beginning, breaking it. No break in the play - I watched my foot technicolor up as the play progressed over the next 80 or so minutes.
