Probably a cost cutting measure. It's cheaper to do 7 shows a week than 8. They're struggling at the box office with less that 50% attendance most weeks and are advertising "final weeks."
Also, through previews, they switched off doing 7 show weeks and 8 show weeks. It's a HARD show to do (three hours) so perhaps they're just easing the burden on the cast.

Posted: 6/29/05 at 8:06amI thought they had that structure in place from the very beginning though. Maybe they're just advertising it now so as people are aware that every other week they don't have a Tuesday night show? Plus, the show needs all the attention it can get.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.
