Just bought tickets for May. Can't believe how fairly priced they are, considering they have some big names. Any news on whether the book is any good? Any details on the actual show?? Post here if you're going!

John Steinbeck's play version of his novella premiered in 1937, the same year as the novella itself. Both have been American classics ever since. I'd say the play's script is pretty solid. Of Mice and Men

(p.s. — a musical's script is called a "book" [book/music] — a play's script is called a "script")

OF MICE AND MEN is an iconic Depression-era tragedy about have-nots struggling to find grace on the underside of the American dream — and I suspect this revival will prove very timely. Steinbeck's script is superb. Looking forward to this production! Enjoy!

Seeing this during my upcoming June trip (my first of two theater trips this year). The book was one of my favorites growing up, and I'm looking forward to seeing it on the stage.

Although, a lot of my memories are tied into my friend and I at the time goofing around, and imagining Disney doing an animated version of the book, with Donald Duck and Goofy as George and Lenny, respectively. I believe we also cast Pete as Curley, Minnie Mouse as Curley's Wife, and Scrooge McDuck as Candy, the old guy with the aging dog (Pluto played the dog). I don't remember who else we cast in our Disney rendition.

Not Disney, but OF MICE AND MEN's Lennie and George were frequently parodied in Warner Bros. cartoons of the 1940s ("Which way did they go, George? Which way did they go?").
