re: % Of music in a show.

There's room for both - and I applaud the current diversity.

Les Miserables was the first sung-through musical that I've ever seen on stage ( although it was pre-dated by Evita) and was followed by a string of opera-like musicals ( Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, etc.). Of this type, other than LES MISERABLES, I also like ASPECTS OF LOVE and SUNSET BOULEVARD. I do like the songs and recitatives flowing very smoothly together.

But I also like the more old-fashioned format of the Rodgers and Hammerstein and the Lerner and Lowe variety - as well as the more contemporary book and music types.

I like musicals.

And I like baseball, sum. What's your point?

As everyone has already said, there's plenty of room on Broadway for both "traditional" and through-composed musicals. But I don't see a trend towards any one style.

I'll take a baseball bat and attack you with it. Actually I'll pretend to then realize the bat is actually a cat.

Yeah... I swear i didn't know that that cast didn't want to give autographs before the final curtain. they really should have a post or something in the playbill...

MusicPos2: "There's no such song..."

I was told about the song by someone who saw the show in san fransico. Perhaps it was cut out
