Hey!
Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for Off B.Way Shows from 10th-13th August? I have been looking online for new B.Way shows but there doesn't really seem to be any this Summer. Seeing The Colour Purple, On Your Feet and Cats and hoping to add two extra off-B.Way shows onto that. My favourite shows are Hamilton (if it wasn't obvious by my username), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Something Rotten. Thanks! :)

Not to thread jack, but while we're at it I was wondering if anyone has seen Small Mouth Sounds at the Pershing Square? It's Off-Bway and I've heard great things but wondering about any new reports since the show returned.
I figured this would be a good place to ask instead of starting a new thread!

Highly recommend Bedlam's Sense and Sensibility at The Gym at Judson and Clubbed Thumb's Men on Boats at Playwrights Horizons

Too bad you are missing Hadestown. Oslo and Privacy will be running, but are tough tickets. 54 Below has concerts with Carmen Cusack and the American Psycho Cast among others. Check out 59e59. Butler looks interesting.

I saw SMS this past week and loved it! It's a really inventive, clever, and laugh-out-loud funny show and definitely worth seeing.

Thanks to all who gave advice. Decided on seeing Oslo and Sense & Sensibility. Hopefully Oslo won't be too hard to get tickets to? :)

Mint theater's A Day By The Sea - tickets are on telecharge. Their productions are usually fantastic.

Maybe you'd want this on you backup list, I'm getting interested in seeing Norbert Leo Butz at 54 Below in August - sloppy reco as I haven't seen it, but just in case you're a fan and would like a cabaret evening.

I think another poster had recommended the 54 Below shows, but didn't really know any of the artists so decided against it.
Sadly Oslo is sold out so chose Cagney to see instead.
Final line-up is: The Colour Purple, On Your Feet, Cats, Sense and Sensibility and Cagney. Also going to try the Hamilton lottery, wish me luck!
Just want to say another thanks to those who gave advice. I've been reading this board for about a year but never opened an account, so I thank you all for being so welcoming. :)

Don't give up on Oslo just yet. I found my ticket two days before the performance date, two weeks ago.
And, checking this week, there are a handful of seats scattered from tomorrow's matinee through Friday.
Closer to your time in NY, I bet you'll find a ticket. Whatever you do, have fun! Enjoy! You have some great selections already.
